More on forgiveness

The think about forgiveness that’s so important to remember is how much it gives back to you, the one who is doing the forgiving.  When we fail to forgive others it keeps us feeling bent out of shape toward another person who has already caused us harm.

My thought is… why give them anymore of you… your thoughts, tears, emotions, time and energy than they’ve already got?

When you forgive you are saying to the person who hurt you ‘I will no longer keep you up in my heart… in a bad way’.  A very difficult and challenging thing to do, but if you’re goal is to live in ‘freedom’ then you’ll need to learn how to grow in forgiveness.
