Life Long Learning…

Something interesting I read today:

Get over the idea that only children should spend their time in study.  Be a student so long as you still have something to learn, and this will mean all your life.  ~Henry L. Doherty

I’m committed to life long learning,  I don’t know if it’s because of the type of work I do, and the need to continually learn more as the times, research, and science change, but I know that I HAVE to constantly be willing to learn more and more about the work I do every day.

Personally I think a willingness to learn isn’t just something we should do for ‘professional development’, or just the pursuit of a ‘dream job’.  Life long learning is more than just a willingness to register for courses, and read the latest books on the best seller’s shelves.  I believe that true ‘life long learning’ is an openness in your spirit and mind to grow.  I guess I’m saying that learning involves growth in some way shape or form, and THAT is what LIFE should really be about (in my humble opinion).

Sooooooooooooooo the question for today is:

What have you learned today? And HOW has that helped you to grow some way some how?
