1 Corinthians 13:11
11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
There is a time and season for everything. Maturity comes from experiences we go through in our youth. It’s important for us to recognize when that season has passed, and when it’s time to but childish ways behind us.
There comes a time when we must DECIDE to put the childish things behind us, and this decision will allow us to be able to make better and more mature choices. Over the past 11 days we have been reminded that Love ultimately is a choice, and to follow the example given within this passage it will require a great deal of maturity. This type of maturity becomes possible when a choice is made to ‘put the ways of childhood’ behind us. Then and only then, can True, Authentic Love be attainable.
